Technical Lead – SAP BTP / Full-Stack Development

Salary

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant SAP certifications are an advantage.

Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
  • Extensive experience in full-stack development covering both frontend and backend.
  • Strong experience in software architecture, system design, and end-to-end technical solution design.
  • Experience leading technical teams and delivering projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Saudi Aramco project experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Software Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Design and develop scalable software architectures and end-to-end technical solutions.
  • Lead full-stack development across frontend and backend technologies.
  • Define system integrations, APIs, technical interfaces, and integration patterns.
  • Review and optimize code quality, architecture, performance, and maintainability.
  • Apply software design patterns, development best practices, and coding standards.
  • Lead technical decision-making and provide technical direction to development teams.

SAP BTP

  • Provide extensive technical expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
  • Design, develop, deploy, and support solutions within Cloud Foundry environments.
  • Work extensively with BTP services including:
    • Destination
    • XSUAA
    • Connectivity
    • Other relevant SAP BTP services
  • Develop BTP backend solutions using CAP, Node.js, and Java.
  • Work with OData services, REST APIs, and system integrations.
  • Support BTP backend, SAP UI5, CPI, and ABAP integration scenarios.

SAP HANA & Data

  • Design and develop solutions using SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of CDS views and data modeling.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries.
  • Perform database and application performance optimization.
  • Ensure proper transaction management and data consistency.

SAP UI5 & Fiori

  • Design and develop responsive SAP UI5 and SAP Fiori applications.
  • Apply SAP Fiori design principles and best practices.
  • Develop applications using MVC architecture.
  • Implement OData consumption within frontend applications.
  • Develop both Fiori Elements and freestyle applications.

Security

  • Design secure applications using:
    • OAuth 2.0
    • JWT
    • SSO
    • XSUAA
    • Role collections and scopes
    • Certificates
    • Principal propagation
  • Apply security best practices throughout the BTP application lifecycle.

Testing & Quality

  • Establish and enforce code quality standards and governance frameworks.
  • Define and implement testing strategies covering:
    • Unit testing
    • Integration testing
    • UAT
    • API testing
  • Use tools such as Postman for API testing.
  • Perform troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement through technical reviews and retrospectives.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

  • Gather and analyze technical and business requirements.
  • Communicate technical solutions effectively with stakeholders.
  • Lead solution design and architecture discussions.
  • Work within Agile development environments.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical delivery activities.
  • Manage technical risks, dependencies, priorities, and delivery timelines.
  • Coach and develop team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, accountability, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
