Position Title:
Servers & Storage Support – Physical Server & Mainframe Specialist

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in server, storage, and mainframe operations and management
Monthly Salary Package:
15,000 – 17,000 SAR
Qualifications & Skills:
- Hands-on experience managing physical servers, storage systems, and mainframes (MF)
- Knowledge of storage allocation, utilization, LUN management, and data migration
- Experience monitoring and maintaining user directories, file catalogues, and storage thresholds
- Strong understanding of online storage compaction, archive management, and inactive file handling
- Knowledge of batch job scheduling, mainframe console events, and recovery procedures
- Familiarity with release and change management processes in IT operations
- Ability to implement industry best practices in server and storage management
- Proficient in monitoring performance data, I/O statistics, and capacity planning
- Strong documentation, reporting, and operational support skills
- Ability to support mainframe production environments ensuring SLA compliance and uptime
- Experience coordinating with IT teams for storage configuration and resource allocation
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, manage, and control online storage based on I/O pattern statistics and performance data
- Configure and allocate storage capacity based on approved change requests
- Maintain catalogues with information on storage allocation, utilization, user directories, and access patterns
- Monitor user directories for file inactivity and provide monthly reports
- Maintain and manage file directories, catalogues, and online storage thresholds
- Perform storage compaction, data migration, and archive management as needed
- Ensure adherence to release and change management processes for storage and server updates
- Maintain complete configuration information of storage and mainframe systems
- Monitor and manage mainframe systems including console events, batch job scheduling, and recovery
- Support mainframe applications and system issues affecting SLA compliance
- Document issues, resolutions, and operational activities for mainframe and storage environments
- Provide operational support in alignment with Systems Development Framework and control processes
- Ensure high availability of mainframe and storage systems for daily operations and batch processing
